Sorry I haven’t been on for a while. I sort of forgot about this blog but have decided to start again. I usually get really enthusiastic about something then after a while completely forget about it. My goal at the start of this blog was to post regularily but that failed. Its been about two or three months since I last posted. I’ve decided to make this blog more focused on my writing because that is what I love doing but most of what I write is never read by other people. I’m currently writing a novella (short book) so I’ll start posting individual chapters on this site.

Ideas and Creativeness

So today I was walking home and I started talking to myself. I do that alot. So sad I know. And I started saying lines that began with little girl. It was a poem! I haven’t written a good poem in ages and so I knew I was onto something. So once I got home I had started the poem. In my head of course. I went to my creative place. Laying on the floor with a book and pencil with my legs sticking out or straight up (it’s actually pretty comfy you should try it). lol. And I wrote. This is what I came up with…

Through the Ages

Little girl

Would you like to be

An angel at the bottom of the sea

Frozen in time with no escape

Of golden hair and skirts of crepe

Little girl

Would you like

Not a brand new trike

But a golden figure towering tall

That now stands upon abandoned wall

A discarded item of little value

Not even worth a single thankyou

Little girl

Last is best

Would you live inside a chest

Completely empty of memories

Just a box made from trees

Little girl

You won’t have guessed

These are your hopes and dreams laid to rest

I was very proud of myself and I plan to enter it in a writing competition. Oh and btw! I’ve won a poetry award! I think I’m getting it tomorrow but I don’t really know. The poem I entered wasn’t the best but is was the best poem I’d written. I think I’ll make a page for poems. I’d add stories too but that’s just too hard.

Big Hair

Today I was catching the bus home and I saw this old lady she was definitely over 60. She got onto the bus and she had the weirdest hairdo. She had short curly grey hair that just reached the top of her neck; and her ‘fringe’ was straight back. But, it went up 15 cm. Sorta like how Elvis had his hair but taller. It was very scary and didn’t look very good. Plus she was quite old and had a big boof. Very weird.

Anyway…my day was pretty boring. Except I picked up a random book in the library and it was a movie my parents had been watching the night before. Random much? I should stop rambling.

One more thing. I had to take my friend to the health centre with another friend. We waited 20 MINUTES for the nurse lady to get off the phone. During that time the people before us left because she was taking too long and then when we got back to class the teacher asked why we took so long. Why do people talk for so long?

Hmmm…. Maybe I could answer that.

Laziness, Earwigs and Stealing Stuff

Sorry I haven’t posted for the past few days. I could say I’ve been busy and sick etc. but to tell you the truth I just couldn’t be bothered and I was sorta busy.

A few days ago I had the most horrible fright. I was filling up me dog’s water bowl and I had nearly filled it when, all of a sudden, an earwig came out of the tap and landed right next to my hand. I dropped the bowl and turned off the tap as quickly as possible. There was water all over the ground (outside) and I looked at my dog who was just sitting down looking at me as if I was stupid.

Last night I also had another fright, this great bit giant moth the size of a small apple was in my room flying around. I got my dad and he sprayed it but it nearly got him in the face. Talk about scary!

As you may of noticed I have this thing against insects. They scare me to death, and it doesn’t help that my room is next to the front door and gets alot of them. In my lifetime (13 years) I have had to deal with:

about 3 lizard/gecko things

40 spiders (most small but some giant)

2 giant moths

5 smaller ones

10 earwigs

5 cockroaches

and a bazillion ants (I had them crawling all over my desk and wall)

all of these being in my bedroom.

Enough about insects. Onto other stuff that doesn’t make me squirm. My friends and I have a habit of stealing each other’s stuff. Pencils, pencil cases, books; you name it. Unfortunately it goes too far, people have to leave school before the stuff is returned, retrieving the stolen items makes you really late and in big trouble and poeple get upset
(inside). So my message to the young people of the world is this:

Stealing is bad and also against the law,

Poo brown and weird popping noises

As I have said earlier I have been working on my portrait at school and today I started on my hair. Unfortunately it is extremely hard to use brown paint seeing as there is no actual brown paint, you have to mix the colour yourself. The only colours I could make were some weird gold colour, vomit green and poo brown. None of which are very close to my hair colour. When I showed the teacher she just said use what you’ve mixed coz you can paint over it later. So, my portrait currently has gold/poo brown looking hair. Eww!

Today as I was eating dinner I heard some weird popping noises coming from the microwave. I ignored them a bit but the just got louder and louder. When I started to jump in my seat every time the microwave popped I asked mum what the noise was. She replied, ‘oh, that’s just the fat’ she was completely calm. I would be alarmed if weird noises started coming from my microwave. Oh well.

Being sick is no excuse, or is it?

Sorry I haven’t posted for a while, I was sick. As you may of guessed. On Friday I was lying in bed or on the couch with a headache and bad stomach pains, not good. I was better on Saturday, just a little tired but I couldn’t be bothered posting. So being sick is my excuse.

People say being sick is not an excuse for not doing work or not attending some important rehearsal. I think it depends. What if you’re so sick you could die right then and then? Well that didn’t happen to me so some people would say that I should have gone to swimming on Friday even though they didn’t swim (but still attended because they were perfectly healthy) themselves.

This has not actually happened to me but I expect it will happen soon with the same circumstances I referred to earlier. I have been attempting to prepare comebacks but to no avail. Sadly I have never been very good at comebacks, so I have been told countless times. In fact, the very few occasions I have good comebacks there is no praise or even being recognised, it is assumed it wasn’t me.

Well maybe I’m exaggerating but I am really bad at comebacks. More often than not I stand there, dumbly, trying to come up with something to say while the other person walks away.

Fooling People into believing something unbelievable

The funniest thing happened today. One of my friends tricked someone else into thinking that if you moved overseas you couldn’t come back into Australia because of overcrowding. Isn’t that hilarious? And no the person being fooled is not stupid. But, the person doing the fooling is a very good actress. I just can’t get over how someone could fall for something like that. Have you ever fallen for something something unbelievable? I’d like to know.

I can’t think of anything off the top of my head but I know I’ll think of something.

Oh! I know. I always fall for those jokes where someone points at your shirt and then you look down and the hit you in the nose. I have had that done to me all the time and I always fall for it. I know a hundred other jokes like that. And I’ve fallen for them all one time or another.

Time for a joke:

A blonde, brunette and a red head(please don’t be offended) all die and go to heaven.

To get up to heaven there are 100 steps you have to climb. For every step God tells you a joke and if you don’t laugh you get to go up to the next one.

The brunette gets up to the 25th step and then laughs.

The red head gets up to the 62nd step and then laughs.

And the blonde gets up to the 97th step and then laughs.

God asks the blonde why she laughed. She says:

“I just got the first joke”

LOL

Muck Up Day and Inappropriate Thinking

Today was muck day and I was lucky enough to just avoid getting egged. There were eggs on the pavement. What is the point of egging innocent high school students?

This brings me to the topic of inappropriate thinking. I’m not sure if you have any friends that do this but if you do you’ll know what I mean. The bad thing is it rubs off on you and then they tut you for thinking that way about a perfectly ‘innocent’ thing they said.

If you didn’t understand what I just said, don’t worry. You don’t want to know.

Back to muck up day. Why do people go insane? I heard a story from a friend about a guy who egged an old lady’s car. The old lady stopped and got out (stopping the traffic behind her) and made the guy clean her car. He cleaned the car for her and I don’t think he’ll be egging any more old ladies any time soon. Doesn’t this make you laugh? Someone so weak as power over a young strong man. LOL

How NOT to paint a portrait

I have found there are a few very important rules in painting a portrait that I never follow:

~Yellow is the key to avoid being sunburt

~Avoid looking sunburnt at all costs

~When mixing skin colours make sure you mix alot

~Try not to get random splodges of paint on your canvas that are more red or blue than skin colour

~Wash your brush properly

~Don’t get paint all over you hands and then smudge it on your canvas

As I told you before I disobeyed ALL of these rules so you can imagine what my portrait looks like. It will become lighter soon. I hope.

This is exactly what I did wrong:

~I used NO yellow I ended up looking sunburnt

~I look sunburnt Fairly self explanatory

~I mixed a very small amount of skin colour It either dried out or I ran out, whichever came first

~I got random splodges of colour on my canvas VERY hard to hide

~I didn’t wash my brush The above happened

~I got paint all over my hands The one two above happened

So you can see how I failed. Epicly.

Pins and Needles

The most annoying thing happened to me today. I was walking around and I felt this thing on the bottom of my shoe. I tried wiping it off but nothing came off. I looked on the bottom of my shoe and I found it was one of those gold round pin thingys. I pulled it out; but seriously, who leaves those things lying around? Do people get a kick out of others getting them stuck in their shoes? I just find it annoying.

I’ll try to write a post every day. But with my homework it’s pretty hard. I just discovered we have a maths test in 1 week on every thing we have learnt for the whole year. How cruel is that? I’m going to busy studying, or trying to, factorising quadratic trinomials and drawing lines on a grid. I wonder who came up with this stuff. Why would you want to draw lines on a grid?

One last thing. What is with people and popping balloons? Some people love to do it and some scream really loudly in your ear whenever someone pops one. Even if that balloon is in a different classroom. I personally hate it when people pop balloons. Except when someone throws a balloon up in the air and slashes it with their scissors. Now that is cool
